Join us in Fallin for a screening of the 2014 film, “Pride”.
Pride is based on the true story of the Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) campaign in 1984–1985. The film depicts how a group of gay activists raised money to help families affected by a miners' strike in Wales. The campaign helped to make gay rights a mainstream political issue.
The cast includes Bill Nighy, Imelda Staunton, Dominic West, Paddy Considine, Andrew Scott, George MacKay, Joseph Gilgun, and Ben Schnetzer.
This screening will be held in the Fallin Community Garden in the heart of the former mining village and only minutes away from the former Polmaise Colliery.
The event is held in collaboration with Fallin Community Voice and is funded by the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund administered by SVE and CTSI as part of our Stirling Pride Rural Tour.
