
The Smith Literary Stage
The Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum will host another new addition to Stirling Pride, our Literary Stage!
The Literary Stage will see the fantastic authors, Kirsty Logan and Dr Jean Menzies, give talks on their work, alongside stalls from The Book Nook Stirling and Stirling Libraries and Archives and Falkirk Libraries.
The Literary Stage will be open from 12.30pm to 3.30pm and completely free!

Dr Jean Menzies

Dr Jean Menzies is Edinburgh born and based. You might know her from her YouTube or Tiktok channel JeansThoughts where she's been discussing books, writing, studying, and ancient history since 2012.
She is also an author, presenter, and as of 2022 Dr Jean Zacharski Menzies, PhD in ancient history!
In 2020 she won the BAMB Breakthrough Author award for her first book, "Greek Myths: Meet the heroes, gods, and monsters of ancient Greece", which was published by DK and is aimed at children aged 7-11. Her first adult fantasy novel, "The Flames of Albiyon", was published in 2021.
In addition to this she produces the podcast "That’s Ancient History".

Kirsty Logan

Kirsty Logan is an author of novels, short stories, chapbooks and collaborative projects with musicians and illustrators.
Her most recent books are the story collection "No & Other Love Stories" and the memoir "The Unfamiliar." She lives in Glasgow, where she is working on film and TV projects.
